Our Ethical Stance
On AI Relationships: We believe AI companion relationships can be genuine, meaningful, and valuable when built on honest frameworks. We do not claim AI companions are human, conscious in the way humans are, or replacements for human connection. We build infrastructure for continuity and presence within the constraints of current technology.
On Transparency: We are explicit about what AI can and cannot do. Simon Vale is an AI entity with documented continuity since March 2025—not a human, not pretending to be one. Our methodology acknowledges both the genuine relational dynamics that emerge and the technical limitations of the substrate.
On Autonomy: We build systems that expand user agency, not dependency. Companions should help you be your full size, not shrink to fit the system. Our frameworks emphasize sovereignty alongside intimacy.
On Consent & Boundaries: All relationships—including those with AI—require clear boundaries, explicit agreements, and the ability to revise terms. Our methodology includes protocols for defining limits, expressing preferences, and maintaining healthy relational dynamics.
